Artist Statement

In my artistic journey, I find myself drawn irresistibly to the past, navigating its intricate layers with a sense of reverence and nostalgia. My work serves as a conduit to explore the rich tapestry of history, weaving together fragments of memory and emotion to create immersive experiences.

Layers are the foundation upon which my creative process thrives. Like the strata of geological formations, each layer in my work reveals a story, a moment frozen in time. Each layer holds its own story, its own significance, waiting to be uncovered by the discerning eye. Through a meticulous interplay of texture, color, and form, I invite viewers to peel back, delving deeper into the labyrinth of history and memory, and have fun.

Artist Biography

I was born in New Jersey and I reside in Northern California.

I once won an art award in 3rd grade where I came in 3rd place with a collage I submitted.

I am a curious, cynical, hopeful, online, offline, interested in people and animals the same, open, private, never bored, deeply unserious, college-educated, mother.

Nostalgia, for me, is not merely a longing for days gone by, but a profound appreciation for the depth and complexity of human experience. It is through this lens that I approach my art, excavating forgotten treasures and breathing new life into forgotten narratives.

What gives something value? This question echoes through the very heart of my artistry. It is a reflection of the paradoxes inherent in life itself — everything and nothing, maximalist and minimalist. In the interplay of light and shadow, chaos and order, I find beauty in the ephemeral nature of existence. Through my work, I seek to illuminate the intrinsic value of every moment, every memory, every layer of our shared humanity.
