renya parnes: nights in white satin, never reaching the end

On May 9th, there will be an exhibition of new work by Renya Parnes. The exhibition will focus on a series of large scale paintings shown for the first time on this occasion. The exhibition is a one night event from 8-11pm at Edge Space Gallery in SoHo. The address is 457 Broome Street Lower Level, New York, NY 10013.
This will be Renya Parnes’s first solo exhibition. Working with with organic materials such as clay, charcoal, wax, ink, and oil paints to create lyrical works of abstraction as well as renderings of the female form. Her process is guided by resonance and the intuitive senses; tuning into the present moment. This exhibition will be a SILENT experience.
Renya stated, “I am interested in creating opportunities to confront and invigorate. Stripping-back and deepening into what is.”
