Artist Statement

I become so thrilled when I see wildlife outside of a zoo. We see plenty of coyotes in our neighborhood. Sometimes they are very bold, and I think to myself that they may be as curious about me as I am about them. It is rare to see one on its own, but I did see this guy looking up at me from across the street one day. We stared at each other for a moment, and then I backed up out of the driveway and went back into the house. After all, he is a wild animal. The thing about coyotes that is startling is the sound they make at night when the pack has made a kill. It is like many children screaming, and it is very haunting.

Artist Biography

My work combines the desert lifestyle with a fascination for the future, especially the evolving technological world. I blend nature’s wonder with digital tools, “painting with pixels” to capture and enhance my vision.

My digital art process begins with crafting a composition, using my computer screen as a canvas. I combine photos and hand-drawn or painted elements into the piece. The result is an original artwork. I add art filters and then refine the colors to complete the composition. The final file is sent to a professional printer, who prints my art on acrylic.
