Artist Biography
Leo Knudsen is a Japanese artist currently studying Art and Computation at the Rhode Island School of Design. Through hand-drawn digital illustrations, he explores the creation of “systems of interactions” among characters and objects, all within a world shaped by the visual language of fantasy. A core element of Leo’s process is what he calls “spinal cord surfing”—an approach where shapes, colors, and stories emerge in a stream-of-consciousness flow. He welcomes all ideas as they arise, then uses post-reflection to find meaning and direction in the paths his imagination takes.
