Artist Biography
Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, Chryssoula Papadaki has an entrepreneurial background and a degree in economics. In 2019, she earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and has since pursued a career in the field, blending her creative and analytical strengths. Photography and drawing have been lifelong passions, forming the foundation of her artistic practice.
Since 2013, Chryssoula has explored a range of styles, participating in group exhibitions in Thessaloniki and Athens. Her work has also been shown internationally, including a group exhibition in New Delhi (2014) and the Fabriano in Aquarello contest in Italy (2015). Most recently, she received an Excellence Award in the 2024 Whitelock Art Center NY Art Competition.
Her current practice combines digital and analogue techniques. She often incorporates her own photography—either as printed elements or collage fragments—layered with painting and mixed media. With meticulous attention to detail, she creates imaginative and emotionally resonant abstract works that explore the poetry of “what could have been.”
