Artist Biography
I was born in Africa of Indian origin. I acquired my undergraduate, and graduate qualifications in England, including a fellowship in Painting and Sculpture at the Royal College of Art, London.
Sculpting my paintings is a unique process I created, which gives me a complex dimensional surface and the ability to experience the mirror image of the piece before it has transferred to its final phase. This private glance at the duality of its existence is something I cherish.
I thrive when exploring the Earth and its elements, the cosmos with its infinite space, and our humanness, which has gone through incredible global changes since we have become aware of the quantum field. My goal is to translate this amazing energy that I deeply feel into a form of physical expression.
I have exhibited worldwide, including at Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair in Turkey; the Florence Biennale in Italy; the China World Trade Center in Beijing; Osaka Matsuzakaya Gallery in Japan; Estense Castle in Ferrara, Italy; Gallery De Marchi in Bologna, Italy; Hammond Museum in North Salem, NY; and my work is held in private, corporate, and public collections, including those belonging to the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, AT & T Conference Center, Montclair State University, and Heublein Inc.
