Terms and Conditions of the Homiens Art Prize
- By entering The Homiens Art Prize, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
- Entrants give consent to receive email communications from Homiens.
- We do not accept entries by regular mail. We advise that we are unable to return or provide a refund on any artwork(s) sent to us by post. Entrants are at no stage required to send physical artworks to Homiens, and do not need to travel at any stage. The Homiens Art Prize has no physical, in-person or attendance-based component.
- If your entry becomes ineligible at any stage, or you would like to remove your artwork from consideration, we request that you withdraw your entry as soon as possible by emailing withdraw@homiens.com Please specify which artwork(s) you wish to withdraw from the Prize.
- Editing after submission, and refunds (except where noted), will not be possible.
- All references in this T&C to Homiens are inclusive of any employees, and owners of Homiens. At the time of submission, copyright in all elements of the Entry must reside solely with the Entrant(s), and the work must be entirely original (not based on other works), except where acknowledged otherwise in the entry form. All artists who have contributed to the Entry must be identified by name and email address on the entry form. All collaborating artists must be aware of, and agree to Entry, and must also agree to these T&C. Entrant(s) warrants that exhibition by Homiens will not be unlawful, or infringe upon any rights, or give rise to any claim by any third party including without limitation claims in defamation, privacy, copyright, or trademark. The Entrant(s) agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Homiens for any rights violations, or damage, including copyright, resulting from submission, or exhibition. No AI content. No unprofessional behavior. Communications between the Entrant(s) and Homiens are private, confidential, and intended for the recipient only. Entrant(s) grant Homiens the perpetual right to display Winning, and Finalist entries, along with these Entrants’ names, biographies, images, and any interviews, in all of our media, including but not limited to exhibition catalogs, social media, subsequent publications, merchandise, and online. The Entrant(s) grants Homiens the perpetual right to display the name of all Highly Commended artists. Award money is inclusive of all fees related to our ongoing rights. Entrants agree that Homiens retains the ongoing right to display entries for purposes including but not limited to marketing, promotion, and education in direct connection with Homiens and The Homiens Art Prize, and that Homiens may licence these specific, limited rights to others only for the same purposes in direct connection with Homiens and The Homiens Art Prize.
- Any Entrant or Entry that breaches the T&C is disqualified, and Prize money and titles will be revoked.
- To assist with timely administration of the Prize, we request that all entrants respond to our emails within 72 hours.
- In the unlikely event that an element of The Homiens Art Prize is canceled, postponed or not available, that element of the Prize is forfeit (this has never happened). The Winners of The Homiens Art Prize must invoice Homiens, and collect payment, within three months of request of invoice, or the Prize money is forfeit. We request that entrants maintain confidentiality regarding their selection as a Winner, Finalist or Highly Commended artist until the results are announced publicly, or unless informed otherwise. These T&Cs of The Homiens Art Prize supersede all other agreements, written or verbal. The Homiens Art Prize grants artists international visibility and the prestigious opportunity to be recognized by major private and institutional collectors, however, Homiens will always seek Entrants’ permission before submitting an Entry for consideration to further award bodies and opportunities.
